RECENT FEDERAL GRANT

Matibabu has been awarded a three-year federal grant through the New Partners Initiative of PEPFAR (President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief). Matibabu was one of only 14 recipients from among hundreds of applicants during this round of the New Partners Initiative grants. To us, the award represents public acknowledgment of the excellent work we have tried to do these past years. Now comes the hard part – showing that our selection was deserved.

The grant, though welcome, is limited to specific projects within our HIV/AIDS programs, which we will now be able to fully implement. We are excited by the opportunity that this grant provides, but Matibabu is combating many life-threatening conditions besides HIV/AIDS. We therefore need your help more than ever to ensure that our entire healthcare program can keep operating successfully.
